The Enlightened Christian Gathering (ECG) Jesus Nation church is set to hold a Salvation Festival at  Bingu International Convention Centre (BICC) in Lilongwe on Saturday.

Speaking at a press briefing in Lilongwe on Monday, ECG the Jesus Nation Church founder Prophet Shepherd Bushiri said this is the first festival for the church to be organized in the capital city since he returned from South Africa in 2020.

“This is the first time for Lilongwe to experience the everlasting love and mercy of our Lord Jesus Christ through this festival.

“At this festival, all ECG The Jesus Nation Church members, followers, partners, and the general public from across the world will come together to celebrate the beauty of accepting Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and savior,” said Prophet Bushiri.

He said the festival will be characterized by many events, including sports, musical performances by the Tribe of Judah, the Great Angels Choir, Kamuzu Barracks Gospel singers, among others, various games, dances, Bible studies, interactions, baptism, and sharing of the word.

Since Prophet Bushiri’s return from South Africa, Malawi has now turned into a religious tourism attraction, as thousands have been flocking from all walks of life to attend various church events.

The 2023 Salvation Festival in Salima attracted more than 5,000 participants, including visitors from other countries.

ECG Jesus Nation is one of the fastest-growing churches, with branches in all six continents of the world and millions of registered members.
